January 2009
Dear Minister,
The Southern Missouri District School of Ministry is beginning it’s third year of operation. We are pleased to tell you that our enrollment continues to increase and the interest of School of Ministry has spread throughout our District. As a result of our growth, we have opened an additional location for the School of Ministry in Kansas City, MO. Plans have also been made to open a new site in Fenton, MO.
Our goal is to provide Southern Missouri with another way to further their Biblical education and preparation for ministry. While some involved in the program are not seeking credentials but are expanding their understanding of God’s Word and ministry, many others have chosen to complete the credentialing process and will be recognized at this year’s District Council. God is at work in our midst and we are so grateful.
The District would like to extend an invitation to you to encourage those in your congregation to take full advantage of this educational opportunity. Students are given the chance to develop personal relationships with other students and ministers, and are offered a wide variety of instruction and mentoring. Facilitators for Class Day have included members of the District Presbytery and Directors as well as Senior Pastors from our District.
School of Ministry is designed to fit everyone. One Saturday a month is the only scheduled time to meet for class. Personal study of the material can be done at any time available to the student. We welcome anyone over the age of sixteen. Our classes have a variety of age, gender, and educational background.
We look forward to having you involved in this work. If you would like to make a donation toward the Scholarship Fund for School of Ministry, you may send it to the CE Office.
If you or anyone in your congregation is interested in signing up for the School of Ministry, please complete the registration form and return it to the District Office along with your course payment. Contact us with any questions or concerns that you might have. Thank you and may God bless you in your ministry efforts.
Sincerely in Christ,
Stan Welch Curt Rozean
Secretary/Treasurer Church Education Director
